Renowned designer and Vista Tower’s own Design Architect, Jeanne Gang, has been named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2019. As founder of award-winning Studio Gang and visionary for some of the world’s most esteemed architectural designs, Gang was categorized as one of the “titans” of the year, an annual tradition that recognizes one architect on the highly anticipated list.

From her work in Chicago’s up and coming neighborhoods and the eye-catching 82-story Aqua building in Lakeshore East to global developments that directly impact tough social issues – Gang is a catalyst for change. Such is the case with Gang’s iconic vision for the super tall, new construction Vista Tower downtown, which will offer a dynamic new silhouette for the city of Chicago and be coined as the world’s tallest building designed by a woman. The mixed-use, high-rise tower consists of a five-star hotel, luxury condominiums including two-story luxury penthouse condos, world-class amenities and more. The Lakeshore East neighborhood attracts Chicagoans who are desiring to live in an urban setting, but with the conveniences and amenities of a local community and Vista Tower will offer just that for its elite purchasers.

Every detail Gang and team have woven into the design of Vista Tower is thoughtful and intended to not only complement its impressive height (towering at 1,191 feet), but the way in which it’s viewed from all directions. Consider the geometric, green and blue-hued glass alone – with 775,000-square-feet covering the exterior, the distinct color and pattern offers a regal respite for homeowners and onlookers, vibrantly mimicking waves of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River and seen for miles. Each palette of glass is strategically placed to punctuate the reflection and produce a multitude of colors that will dance from top-to-bottom upon the completion of the Tower.
