Chicago became the birthplace of the skyscraper in 1885, notably with the Home Insurance Building which towered at a mere 10 stories at 138-feet. There’s no question that the city’s distinctive skyscrapers have reached momentous new heights in the last century and proudly, Vista Tower has joined the fleet.

Now towering above ground at an impressive 1,191 feet is high-rise Vista Tower, Chicago’s third tallest building, elegantly standing as the city’s major architectural focal point and wonder in the Lakeshore East neighborhood. Vista Tower – which consists of new construction Chicago luxury condos including 1-bedroom condos, 2-bedroom condos, 3-bedroom condos, 4-bedrooms condos as well as penthouses for sale – also boasts a stunning five-star hotel with 192 superior hotel rooms and an array of services and comforts not found elsewhere. Top amenities include a sky terrace with an outdoor pool, world-class spa, Tesla car-share program, golf simulator, wine-tasting room and more located at Club Vista on the 47th floor.

Magellan Development Group celebrated a milestone on Friday, April 26, 2019 as the tower’s construction crew placed the final beam, completing the structure of the building at 101 stories tall. The many hands involved in the project – including McHugh construction, Studio Gang, Magellan and others – came to bear witness of the ceremonial bucket of cement being poured. Crowds gained an inside look at the incredible process the construction team goes through daily to bring this landmark to life, as well as the boundless high-rise views of the city that Vista purchasers will soon experience.

Vista Tower’s topping out signifies great progress in the construction timeline. Having broken ground in 2016, the building is on track to have its first resident move-in next spring 2020. Significant construction milestones still to come are the completion of the glass installation, hotel, amenities floor and more.
