Studio Gang Has Done It Again!

Studio Gang has brought their eye for design to the Hawaiian Islands. The architecture masterminds behind Vista Tower have traded in the windy city and snowy temperatures for sandy beaches and sunshine in Hawaii. Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang recently announced her latest project named Ko’ula, the newest addition to a master-planned waterfront development.

Located between downtown Honolulu and Waikīkī, Ko’ula is a 41-story residential tower and the most recent addition to the soon-to-be-completed Ward Village, a 60-acre master-planned community on the island of Oahu. Ward Village is expected to open to the public early in the New Year.

Upon completion, the Ko’ula will contain 565 units that will each come with a personal lanai or veranda. Elements of the exterior architecture twist upwards in a smooth, wavy motion to pay homage to the red sugarcane plants that were once native to Oahu.
